To evaluate the quality of wallpaper, it is generally recommended to assess the following aspects:

Substrate Thickness
The base paper should be made from natural wood pulp with a grammage of no less than 100 g/m². When purchasing, request relevant manufacturer documentation for verification.
Product Strength
The surface coating should have a grammage of at least 150 g/m². The wet tensile strength must exceed 7 Newtons per 15 mm in both longitudinal and transverse directions. These properties ensure smooth installation without edge lifting, substrate show-through, and enable clean surface removability.
Scratch Resistance
Gently scratch the wallpaper surface with a fingernail to check for marks, color transfer, or peeling. This test helps evaluate the durability and coating integrity.
Eco-Friendliness and Safety
Smell the product up close. Any noticeable unpleasant odor may indicate the presence of excessive aromatic hydrocarbons (such as toluene or ethylbenzene), which are potential carcinogens.

Colorfastness
High-quality wallpapers use carefully selected coating materials and printing pigments to prevent yellowing over time, especially in light-colored or white variants exposed to light.
Design and Craftsmanship
Examine the uniqueness of the patterns and the overall manufacturing precision to ensure aesthetic appeal and technical excellence.
